Child & Family Services of Northeast Michigan, Inc., is a private, non-profit, agency providing a broad range of services to children and families in need.

The roots of our agency go back over 100 years, to organizations pioneering adoption and foster care services for homeless children in the state of Michigan.

Child & Family Services of Northeast Michigan first opened its doors in1958, as a field office of Michigan Childrens Aid Society, in response to needs expressed by our local communities.

Today, our agency provides services which address such major community concerns as: Child abuse and neglect, juvenile delinquency, teenage pregnancy, marital and relationship breakdown, the plight of homeless children and those with special needs.

Our Mission is to promote the social and emotional well being of families and individuals in Northeast Michigan by fostering healthy personality and social skill development, strengthening and supporting family functioning, and providing community-based substitute care for children. We invite you to join us to keep finding solutions for our community, its families, and its family-related problems.

Respect for the privacy of consumers and for the protection of information obtained during the course of professional service is expected of all agency personnel and volunteers. The law requires us to keep your protected health information (PHI) private in accordance with this Notice of Privacy Practices (Notice), as long as this Notice remains in effect. We are also required to provide you with a paper copy of this Notice, which contains our privacy practices, our legal duties, and your rights concerning your PHI. From time to time, we may revise our privacy practices and the terms of our Notice at any time, as permitted or required by applicable law. Such revisions to our privacy practices and our Notice may be retroactive. Our Notice will be updated and made available to our consumers prior to any significant revisions of our privacy practices and policies.
